Having only recently triumphed in The Maypole Tournament, The Rovers U13’s were out to compete with 2 teams in The Grassroots Cup. Could they add another trophy?
Rovers had teams coached by Jae Martin White and Daniel Martin White going into the Tournament. Both sets of players were riding the crest of a very successful wave of football, Champions of their League campaign and Tournament winners just 2 weeks ago. They had their tails up and confidence was high in both camps.

The game was full of energy and desire, but both teams fought out a draw. 0-0 infact.
Penalties it was. A cruel way to decide any final, but silverware would be coming to Rovers.
Daniels team managed to win the game 4-3 in the end.
A massive congratulations to ALL players on both teams for reaching the final. The whole Club is proud of you. Goalkeeper, Shemaiah won Goalkeeper of The Tournament (pictured in orange) and Rio won Player of The Tournament (pictured in blue/black stripes). Amazing and well done both players.
