This Saturday, the 11th February 2023 sees the First Team play in their biggest game of the season; a home game vs. Kingston Alliance in The Bill Hill Cup Semi-Final.

After a confident Quarter-Final 3-0 victory away to Village C last weekend, the Greens now progress to their first ever Cup Semi-Final and a great chance to get to a Final where they the winners of this game will play Sporting Birmingham.

The Semi-Final kicks off at 2:00pm and is a one leg match at Hopwood Recreation Ground.

First Team Manager, Spencer Machin said, “All of the lads that have played a part through the rounds to get us this far deserve massive credit for their sheer determination and attitude to date. This is a great opportunity for the entire Club not just the first team to be in a final. As it’s our first season as a team it only bodes well for the future. It would be great to see and hear as many people coming along to cheer the team on to victory on Saturday.”

Rovers have not been shy infant of goal all season and in this competition boast stats of 11 goals scored and just 3 conceded.

Chairman, Bryn Davies commented, “Win or lose you can’t take anything away from this group of players. We are all proud of where they have got to in such a short space of time but it’s games and occasions like this that are icing on the cake of a football season. A cup final would be a dream and perfect opportunity for silverware.”
