New Rovers Adults 1st Team Manager, Phil Sargent had some exciting news hit his inbox when he was informed his team would be competing in the BFA Premier Division…

Following the appointment of Phil Sargent the positive news can now be shared that Rovers Adults 1st team are to be competing at the highest level within The Birmingham League; The Premier Division for Season 2026/27.

Whilst Phil has been busy during the Summer Months putting players through their paces in training and pre-season friendlies, he is fully aware of what lies ahead.

Rovers Chairman, Kristian Rock commented, “Following on from last seasons highs, our plans as a club was to push the 1st team as much as possible and try and get them playing at the highest level.

From conversations with Phil it was certain from the get go our plans were aligned.

Within our league, teams from Division 1 get an opportunity to apply for the Premier Division. As soon as this became available we did so and we are pleased to announce we were accepted straight away.

Our plans for the 1st team is to get onto the Non League pyramid as soon as possible. Myself and Phil have discussed in depth with regard to this and we are certain this can be achievable within the next few years.

Rovers 1st team finished 3rd in Division 1 in 25/26, also winning The Intermediate Cup Final on penalties in a thrilling game.
