Rovers U14’s team recently competed at The New Tupton Ivanhoe FC – Summer festival of football last weekend looking to add to their swelling trophy cabinet.

The boys, didn’t fail to disappoint, winning the Tournament beating the hosts in the semi-final along the way.

The boys competed in Group 3. Here are all of their results on their way to victory:

GAME 1: Kinsley Boys FC 1-0 Riley Steatham

GAME 2: Newton & Blackwell FC 2-1 Riley Steatham, Frankie Brown

GAME 3: Springfield FC 3-0 Shemaiah Campbell, Rio Williams, Kyle Bench

GAME 4: Glapwell Gladiators FC 1-0 Joe Lawrence

QUARTER-FINAL: 0-0 (4-2 on pens) Frankie Brown, Harry Hands, Niall Moran, Kyle Bench
Shemaiah Campbell made an outstanding penalty save in the shootout!

SEMI-FINAL: New Tupton Ivanhoe FC Gold: 2-0 Jacob Cheshire, Kyle Bench
This was a very tough encounter against the host team with a large crowd behind the home team. The crowd were quickly silenced when Jacob Cheshire scored. Kyle Bench scored the second taking Rovers to the final!!

CUP FINAL: Banbury United 1-0 Rio Williams
Rio scored a goal fit to win any cup final, with a scorching shot from the halfway line. Amazing stuff!
