Phil Sargent will be the man in the dugout as Rovers are proud to unveil their NEW Adults 1st Team Manager. Phil has a great coaching pedigree and is raring to go…
“Once Phil got in touch, it quickly became clear that he was the perfect fit for the role and the right person to lead the team forward, ” Chairman Kristian Rock commented.
Rock added, “Having known Phil for several years and followed his progression within the game, it was an easy decision for the club to offer him the position.
Phil is highly respected within the local football community, and after speaking with a number of people across the area, the feedback about him was overwhelmingly positive.”
Phil Sargent’s accolades:
• UEFA B Licensed Coach
• 7 years’ experience coaching in both the men’s and women’s game
• Women’s County Cup winner – 2020
• Quadruple-winning season, including a Men’s County Cup victory – 2026
Phil will be joined by Rebecca Ankorn as his Assistant Manager, with further additions to the Coaching Staff to be announced in due course.
We wish Phil and Rebecca all the success for the future, giving them a big Rovers welcome!
Meanwhile, Garry Postin will continue in his role as Reserve Team Manager, working closely alongside Phil and his Staff.
We are also proud to announce the introduction of an Over-35s Veterans Team for the 2026/27 season, which will be managed by Mark Rollins.
Mark reached out to the club following the conclusion of his time with his previous Club, and we are delighted to welcome him to the club ahead of the new season.
The Over-35s team will compete in the Central Warwickshire Veterans League and will play their home fixtures at Studley Sports & Social Club (Entaco), alongside our other Adult Teams.
